The Samaya Seminyak Bali

The Samaya Seminyak sits on Jalan Laksmana at Seminyak Beach, merely steps from Bali's lifestyle district. The resort is built around private villas, each with its own pool, and it describes its beachfront position as unbeatable. Daily à la carte breakfast is served anytime and anywhere, so mornings follow your own pace, and a butler is on call around the clock. The resort holds Tri Hita Karana certification and the TripAdvisor Traveller Choice 2023 award, and it was named Best Honeymoon Destination Southeast Asia in 2018.

There are five villa categories across two settings. Beside the sea, the One Bedroom Pool Villas and One Bedroom Royal Pavilion Villas stand close to the main pool. Across the main street, a two minute golf cart ride away, the Royal Courtyard holds the One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom villas in a Balinese village style. Villas offer LCD televisions, coffee and tea making facilities, luxury bathroom products and Wi-Fi across the property. The larger villas add a wooden gazebo, a stocked minibar and a separate shower and bathtub, and the Three Bedroom villa adds a living room. The website publishes no total room count.

Free activities run daily from 16:00 to 17:00 at Breeze, with yoga and fruit carving among them. Cooking classes teach local dishes you can recreate at home, and your butler can advise on times. The beachfront hosts further activities. Canggu Recreation Club, ten minutes away, covers four hectares with a water park, trampoline centre and bowling alley, open from 06:00 to 20:00.

Every villa has a private pool, from three by ten metres in the One Bedroom Pool Villas to a 3.8 by 20 metre lap pool at the Three Bedroom Royal Courtyard Villa. A main swimming pool adds a shared option, with iced mineral water and fruit refreshments served at the pools. The spa has four couple treatment rooms and two beachfront spa suites with jacuzzi baths, open from 09:00 to 21:00. Treatments include Samaya Delight, a two hour blend of salt scrub, massage and body mask, and a Pevonia Botanica organic facial.

Breeze at The Samaya serves international and local dishes from 06:30 to 23:30, beside the beach and overlooking Petitenget Beach, from breakfast through to sunset dinners with ocean views. Brasserie at The Royal Courtyard is a private dining area that carries the Breeze menus for those staying across the street. In-villa dining brings a candle-lit table to your pool. Afternoon tea is served daily, and the resort lists ten curated dining experiences, including candlelit dinners on private islands and champagne packages.

Seminyak Beach is on your doorstep, and Petitenget Beach lies in view from Breeze. Seminyak Village, Seminyak Square and Kayu Aya Square are nearby for designer boutiques and local talent. The resort arranges day trips to Sacred Monkey Forest, the Tegalalang rice paddies and the temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, which is the most popular surf spot in Bali. Kuta and Legian suit beginners. A free shuttle runs within Seminyak.
