Koh Chang Holidays

Koh Chang rests in the eastern Gulf of Thailand near the town of Trat. Forested peaks rise above coral bays and slow fishing piers. Bangkok flights reach Trat in one hour. A swift ferry then glides across calm water in thirty minutes. High-end resorts dot the west shore, yet the jungle still wraps much of the land. You pick Koh Chang when you seek fine villas, clear snorkel lanes, warm Thai care, and smart offers year-round. Days stretch long, and the sea breeze keeps the heat kind.

Koh Chang Tranquillity: Jungle Peaks and Pearl Shores

White Sand Beach greets you first with wide powder and tall palms. Klong Prao curves further south, its shallow lagoon perfect for paddle boards. Kai Bae shows small isles offshore that glow at sunset. Lonely Beach draws relaxed bars and bright strings of light after dark. On the east coast, Long Beach sleeps in near hush with only a simple deck and pure blue view.

BB Divers in Bang Bao steers boats to Koh Rang, where the reef walls drop clear and bright. Scuba Dawgs guides new hands at Hin Luk Bat where parrot fish cruise. Inland, the Tree Top Adventure Park sends you gliding past green leaves. Kayaks slip through Salak Khok mangroves at dawn while hornbills call. A slow, long-tailed reaches Koh Laoya for a quiet swim and picnic.

Bang Bao pier village stands on wooden stilts and sells fresh squid hung in the sun. Wat Salak Petch glimmers gold against the jungle slope and hosts calm chanting at first light. Fisher folk still mend nets beside the Salak Khrom canal. During Songkran, locals pour water with bright smiles along Lonely Beach road—night markets at Klong Prao brim with fruit, silk, and soft spice scent.

Mu Ko Chang National Park protects most of the ridge and reef. Klong Plu waterfall drops three clear tiers into a jade pool fit for cooling dips. Then Mayom falls hide deeper east and need a short trek that is rewarded with the forest echo. Kai Bae's viewpoint looks over the sea as the sun meets the horizon. Elephants bathe in inland rivers, spraying cool arcs of water over happy watchers.

Santhiya Tree Resort rests by Klong Prao lagoon and offers teak villas with open-air bath tubs. The Emerald Cove spreads grand pools along calm sand and sets plush daybeds in wide shade. AWA hotel lines Kai Bae shore with sleek, dark roofs and gentle spa rooms. Private yachts depart Siam Royal View marina for a sunset sail and champagne.

Kai Bae walking street grills prawns over hot charcoal and tops them with lime leaf. Restaurants at Bang Bao pier steam crab in clay pots beside water that laps softly. Blue Lagoon café at Klong Prao serves green curry fragrant with sweet basil. Fine dine at Saffron on the Sea, where soft snapper pairs with young coconut rice. Every bite blends fresh sea catch and garden herbs.

Private tables sit on Lonely Beach sand lit by a low lantern glow. The Couples Spa at Santhiya Tree uses warm herbal compresses and smooth strokes. A long-tail drifts past Kai Bae islets as the sky turns rose. Fireflies flicker along Salak Khok Creek during quiet kayak rides. The night ends with a toast on your villa deck under bright stars.

The Elephant Care Centre near Klong Son lets children feed fruit and watch gentle mud baths. Tree Top zip lines offer a safe double harness so small thrill seekers can fly with pride. Shallow reef off Wai Chaek beach hosts baby clown fish, easy to spot on a guided snorkel. Family Thai cook class at Bailan teaches simple pad Thai and mango roll. Smiles stay long after bags close.
