Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi is a five-star, all suites resort set among Casuarina trees beside a white sandy beach and the Andaman Sea. Langkawi is the first UNESCO Global Geopark in Southeast Asia, so the setting suits you if you want a beach stay with nature close by. Regular rates include daily breakfast, and all inclusive and half board options are also published.

Every room is a suite, and seven types are published. Each has hardwood floors and French windows opening to views of the garden, pool or sea, with Asian influences in the decor, and every suite lists a balcony. Damai Suite overlooks the central garden courtyard, the Cahaya suites add a separate lounge and sofa bed, and Bayu Suria Suite and Bayu Senja Seaview Suite sleep up to four. Bayu Family Suite has two bedrooms for up to five, and Anjung Seaview Suite offers panoramic sea views. A total room count is not published.

Days can be as active as you like. The resort runs a guided ATV adventure along a private track, water sports including jet skiing, kayaking and snorkelling, curated nature walks, yoga and a collection of classic board games. Tennis courts face the sea, with lessons from qualified tennis pros available by request. A kids club and an evening entertainment programme are not published.

There are two pools. The adult pool has a poolside bar and sits near Sands Restaurant, so a drink or light meal is never far away, and it is open from 7am to 8pm. The family pool drops through three levels of depth, with a children's pool and a sundeck facing the beach. The Spa opens from noon until 8pm and offers the Rhu Ritual Massage, the Rhu Relaxing Massage and Sunset Yoga, while the gym has 180 degree views of the beach.

Six venues cover the day. Sands serves Asian and international dishes outdoors from 7am to 11pm beside a water feature and beach views, while Chef's Table offers contemporary Western fusion behind glass walls from Sunday to Friday evenings. Saffron is a beachfront sports bar with wood-fired pizza, foosball and pool tables. The Reading Room pairs books and magazines with cakes, pastries, gelato and wine, and Sands Pool Bar and Sunset Pool Bar bring drinks, snacks, cocktails and tropical smoothies to the water.

The resort is about a 30 minute drive from Langkawi International Airport and 40 minutes from Pantai Cenang. Nearby attractions it points to include a mangrove tour through the Geopark, Langkawi SkyCab and SkyBridge, the Langkawi Wildlife Park, Crocodile Adventureland, Telaga Tujuh Waterfall, and The ELS Club and Gunung Raya Golf Course.
