Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve sits in Ubud on Bali, where the jungle meets the Ayung River. It holds Three Michelin Keys and was named among the World's 50 Best Hotels in 2025, which says something about the standard you can expect. Breakfast is served in full American, buffet, continental and grab-and-go styles. Check-in is from 3:00 pm, check-out is at 12:00 pm, and the resort is smoke-free.
The resort has 35 suites and 25 private pool villas, and a dedicated butler known as a Patih looks after your stay. The One-Bedroom Rice Field Pool Villa has rice field views, a private pool, a separate living room and a private terrace. The Reserve Two-Bedroom Pool Villa has king and twin bedrooms, Ayung River views and a private infinity pool in tropical gardens, while The Mandapa River Estate offers three bedrooms with indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Mandapa Camp offers children aged 8 to 12 nature-based activities, from art classes and Balinese craft workshops to bonfires with storytelling and rice field treks. You can join complimentary sunrise and sunset yoga classes at the pavilion, rent a bicycle or take a guided rice field walk. For something more active, options include white-water rafting on the Ayung River, cycling through the rice terraces of Taro and a Land Rover expedition to Mount Batur.
There is an outdoor pool with resort views and a whirlpool beside it, open from 8am to 6pm. Mandapa Spa has five treatment rooms, a vitality pool with water massage jets, a meditation temple, and separate men's and women's wellness areas with saunas and steam rooms. Ice fountains and experience showers add contrast, and treatments include massages, facials and body wraps. A fitness centre with cardio equipment, free weights and strength machines is open around the clock.
Dining runs to seven options: Kubu, Sawah Terrace Restaurant, Ambar Ubud Bar, Dining Beyond, The Pool Bar, The Library and In-Villa Dining.
