Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok stands on the banks of the Chao Phraya River at Charoenkrung Soi 70, in the Bang Kho Laem district. Five restaurants and bars share the hotel. River Barge, on the riverside terrace, serves Thai and international dishes with a themed buffet at weekends. Silver Waves by Boon on the 36th floor brings modern Cantonese cooking from Michelin starred chef Ho Chee Boon, with dim sum at lunch. Cloud 36, the rooftop bar beside it, mixes cocktails with Asian herbs and spices against 360 degree views of the Chao Phraya until one in the morning. The Lobby Lounge overlooks a garden, and Flow keeps the pool deck supplied.

ICONSIAM sits just across the river and Asiatique lies about a kilometre along the bank. From Sathon Pier the Chao Phraya Express Boat runs north to Wat Arun, roughly 3.5 kilometres from the hotel, and on to the Grand Palace at about seven. River City Bangkok is a 15 minute boat ride from the private pier, Talat Noi a 15 minute drive, and Chinatown 15 to 20 minutes by taxi. Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports are both 45 to 50 minutes away by expressway.
