Holidays to Grotto Bay Beach Resort and Spa
Grotto Bay Beach Resort sits on a 21-acre tropical estate in Bailey’s Bay, with caves along the water’s edge and two private beaches. The setting makes it easy to balance the sea, outdoor activities, and quieter moments around the resort. An all-inclusive supplement covers selected meals, drinks, non-motorised water sports, afternoon tea and food and beverage service gratuity.
The resort has 225 rooms with custom island-designed furnishings. Superior rooms are on the first floor with a walk-out patio, while Deluxe rooms are on the second or third floor with a balcony. Ocean Front rooms sit along the waterfront, and Ocean View rooms are positioned on a ridge for long-range sea views. Castle Lodge adds recently designed rooms and suites, with some overlooking Castle Harbour and the Castle Islands and others in garden settings with glimpses of the water.
Days can include kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkelling, while Blue Hole Water Sports also offers motorboats and other water-sports equipment. The resort has a dive shop and PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, plus a seasonal inflatable water park. Cathedral Cave is available for swimming. Wellness classes include Aqua Yoga, and transport rentals include pedal bikes, mopeds, electric cars and e-bikes. Weekly entertainment features local performers, including pianists, guitarists, steel pan music and bands, alongside a Manager’s Rum Swizzle Reception.
You can swim in the outdoor pool, heated during the winter months, with a poolside bar, umbrellas, and towels. A Jacuzzi sits above Honeymoon Beach with ocean views. Natura Spa is set inside Prospero’s Cave, where treatments take place in private cabanas above clear cave water and use organic products. The 24-hour fitness centre has ocean views and free weights, with personal training and fitness classes available by appointment.
The resort has three restaurants, two bars and the Panorama rooftop lounge. Dining venues include the Hibiscus Restaurant, Palm Court and Bayside Bar and Grill, while drinks are served at Rum House Bar, Bayside Bar and Panorama Lounge. Menus draw on Bermudian, American and Mediterranean influences, with buffet and à la carte options. Room service is available. The all-inclusive supplement includes an American breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner at a choice of two restaurants, seasonal theme-night buffets and unlimited beverages at two bars and the rooftop lounge.
Crystal and Fantasy Caves are within a five-minute walk, while nearby Blue Hole Park and Tom Moore’s Jungle offer woodland trails, rock formations and cave systems. L.F. Wade International Airport is within five minutes of the resort, and tennis courts are around 10 minutes away. Several golf courses are available across Bermuda, while e-bike tours can take you around the eastern end of the island, including Cooper’s Island Nature Reserve, St George’s and Bailey’s Bay.
