Baoase Curaçao is a boutique resort of 37 villas, suites and rooms, set on a private lagoon-style beach at Winterswijkstraat 2, minutes from Willemstad and around 14km from Curaçao International Airport. Balinese-inspired design runs through the gardens and interiors, and the resort describes itself as five-star. It was named the number one resort in the Caribbean in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards 2025. Breakfast is included, an all-inclusive meal plan can be added, and a three-night minimum stay applies. Families with children are welcome, though the mood is quiet and unhurried throughout.

All 37 units carry Balinese-inspired furnishings. Villas range from the one-bedroom Master Villa through the two-bedroom Private Pool Villas and three-bedroom Tropical Pool Villas to the four-bedroom Superior Private Pool Villa, which sleeps eight. Suites sleep two and include Junior, Oceanfront Pool, Beachfront Pool, Superior Beachfront Pool and Honeymoon categories. Rooms include Banyan Tree, Colonial, Run of the House and the Loft Room, which sleeps four. Laundry is available on request.

The Baoase Yacht runs sunset cruises and personalised trips along the coast, and the team can arrange snorkelling, diving, ATV tours and island excursions. Guest chefs visit throughout the year for Vive la Gastronomie, and you can book romantic or private dining for two. Proposals are arranged in settings across the resort. The Baoase Boutique sits near the Guest Services Desk for shopping, and day passes are available for both the resort beach and Bida Island.

Twenty-four of the 37 units have a private plunge pool set among lush gardens, so much of the swimming here happens at your own door. The private beach is lagoon-style and served by beach butlers, while Bida Island offers a more secluded setting on the open ocean. Spa and wellness treatments include massages, hand and foot treatments and aloe body packages, delivered in your villa or suite or at the Massage Gazebo beside the sea. The Baoase Curaçao Health Club handles the gym side.

Three restaurants serve the resort. Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant sits at the water's edge, serving breakfast from 8 am, lunch from 1 pm and dinner from 7 pm. The Sunset Deck Restaurant and Bida Island Restaurant complete the trio, and all three welcome visitors and residents alike. Themed evenings run nightly from Tuesday to Sunday at 7 pm: Mexican, Indian, Fruits de Mer with live music, Italian, a culinary barbecue and Asian. Dinner calls for smart to elegant casual dress.

Willemstad is minutes away, and the drive from Curaçao International Airport takes around 20 minutes. The resort arranges private airport transfers and arrival assistance, and parking on the property is secure. Curaçao sits outside the hurricane belt and stays warm year-round with steady trade winds, so the timing of your trip matters less than it might elsewhere. Tap water is desalinated and safe to drink across the island.
