Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is a five-star hotel at 15 Ngo Quyen Street in the Hoan Kiem District. It opened in 1901 as the Grand Hotel Metropole Palace, then the largest hotel in Indochina, and that history remains part of your stay. You can join the Path of History tour, which is exclusive to hotel guests, and see the bomb shelter that was rediscovered beneath the Bamboo Bar in 2011. The hotel does not publish its board basis on its own page, so please check the terms when you book.
Rooms and suites are split between two wings. The Heritage Wing brings French colonial décor with Vietnamese influence, while the neoclassical Opera Wing has lofty, bright interiors. Categories include Premium, Luxury, Grand Premium and Grand Luxury rooms, alongside the Prestige Suite and named suites such as the Graham Greene Suite and the Somerset Maugham Suite.
