Holidays to Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An
Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai sits on Ha My Beach, a private stretch of coast that was once a fishing village. The resort is made up of 100 private villas set among gardens beside the East Sea, and it holds Forbes Five-Star status. From here you can reach three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, the Champa temples of My Son and the Imperial City of Hue.
Villas come with a private terrace and an outdoor rain shower, and you can choose garden, ocean or beachfront settings in the one-bedroom category. The Family Villa adds a trundle bed and a crib on request for younger travellers. For more space, pool villas give you a private infinity pool and a dining pavilion, with one, two, three, four and five bedroom layouts across the collection. A sofa bed in many villas lets a third traveller stay comfortably.
Heart of the Earth Spa has eight overwater treatment pavilions above a lotus-filled lagoon, open from 9am to 9pm. Daily yoga and meditation classes run at the Thanh Tinh Yoga Pavilion, and the Cooking Academy teaches hands-on Vietnamese cooking. More than 15 complimentary cultural activities include lantern making, Vietnamese coffee tasting and local market tours. On the water you can try kayaks, bodyboards, stand-up paddleboards and catamarans.
Three pools give you plenty of room to swim, including an adults-only lap pool, an Olympic-size pool and a gently heated family pool. Children aged 4 to 12 are looked after at Chuon Chuon Kids Club, which has indoor and outdoor play areas and a splash zone. The Health Club is open 24 hours with a steam room and sauna, while tennis, pickleball, padel and basketball courts are on site. Complimentary bicycles wait outside your villa and a 24-hour concierge arranges transport and itineraries.
Five restaurants and bars cover a wide range of tastes. NAYUU is a 16-seat Japanese omakase counter with two nightly seatings, featuring Wagyu and seafood from the Toyosu Market in Tokyo. Café Nam Hai serves Indian dishes inspired by Hyderabad, Goa, Amritsar and Kashmir, with a Tandoori Night every Tuesday. Lá Sen offers contemporary Vietnamese cooking indoors or on a beachside terrace overlooking Ha My Beach. Sol and Sao pours coffee and gelato by day and sherry cocktails with Vietnamese tapas by night, and the Pool and Beach Bar serves light bites.
Beyond the resort, the team arranges guided visits to Hoi An Ancient Town, the My Son Champa Sanctuary and the Hue Citadel and Tombs. Other outings include a sunset river cruise, the sunrise fish market and a trip by bike and boat through farming and fishing communities. Couples can book a romantic beachside dinner, while families can choose a custom day out or a junior cooking academy.
