UNICO 18°77° Montego Bay

UNICO 18°77° Montego Bay is an adults only all-inclusive resort on Jamaica's north shore, on Rose Hall Main Road in St James. It is the first UNICO resort in the English-speaking Caribbean, shaped by the island's music, food and artistry. The 451 rooms, suites and villa face a crystal clear coastline, and each stay comes with a dedicated Local Host who books restaurants, spa visits and tours. Interiors use clean lines, neutral tones and local artwork.

Rooms are named Alcoba, Alto Panoramica and Estancia. The Alcoba category has oceanfront rooms and swim-up rooms with a private pool, a breakfast nook and a terrace. Alto Panoramica adds a living room and an outdoor spa tub. Estancia suites go further, with a kitchen, living room and swim-up pool, while the two bedroom oceanfront suite sleeps six and has an indoor dining room.

Days can start with yoga or a beach workout, then move to the pool, a spa treatment or a game of padel or pickleball. Nearby golf can be arranged through the Local Host, and nature excursions explore the North Shore. Evenings suit fine local rum tastings, Jamaican cooking classes and live performances at Cove Club, where live music and visiting DJs feature.

The resort has a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a pickleball court and a padel court, with yoga, meditation and beachfront classes in a holistic fitness programme. Pools have lounge chairs and private cabanas with food and drink service. Esencia Spa includes a hydrotherapy circuit, and a beauty bar offers hair, make-up, manicures and pedicures by appointment. Luxury artisan boutiques stock gifts and keepsakes that support local makers.

Six restaurants serve à la carte or market style menus. Nyam turns to pan-Asian flavours, Karavella cooks seasonal Mediterranean dishes, many wood-fired, and Selva Verde gives traditional Mexican cooking a modern look. The 18°77° Restaurant is a gourmet market with live stations, an artisanal bakery and grills, Cafe Inez pours coffee beside French pastries, and The Gelateria makes Italian gelato. Bond 18°77° is the lobby bar, Cove Club brings live music and DJs, and Cellar 18°77° is a quiet wine lounge.

The Local Host service handles the details of a special occasion, from oceanfront dinners for two to private sunset yacht tours. Private dining can be arranged for an anniversary or a friends getaway, with the spa tub prepared and a pillow menu set up in the room.
