The Culture Samui is a five-star resort on Bangrak Beach, with direct beachfront access and 51 rooms and villas. Hospitality here is built around cultural discovery, so the mood is relaxed and sociable rather than formal. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room and villa, and every rate includes breakfast, which keeps the start of your day simple. It suits couples and travellers who would rather have the beach on the doorstep than a busy resort programme.
The 51 rooms and villas come in six types: Deluxe Rooms, Deluxe Seaview Rooms, Deluxe Pool Access Seaview Rooms, Pool Villas, Beachfront Pool Villas and Ocean View Suites. Deluxe rooms sit on the second floor with a private balcony, while the pool access rooms are on the ground floor with direct pool access and an outdoor terrace. Pool Villas have a private pool of 2.5 by 3.5 metres, and Beachfront Pool Villas a pool of 2.5 by 4 metres. The suites add an open plan living area, a sofa daybed and a whirlpool bathtub. Rain showers feature in all six types.
Days here revolve around the beach, the pool and the lobby library, where books and magazines are on hand. The hotel lists no organised sports, entertainment or children's facilities, so the rhythm is yours to set. Through The Culture Spirit, the hotel supports Samui traditions such as Thai ceremonies and village events, giving you a way to see local life beyond the resort.
An infinity pool sits close to the beach bar with a view of the beach, and sun loungers and daybeds line the water. You can order snacks and drinks poolside, and the pool is open from 07:00 to 20:00. The fully equipped gym is near the lobby and open 24 hours, which suits an early start.
Mui Mui: Eat & Meet is the beachfront restaurant, serving a fresh, healthy menu of southern Thai flavours, local ingredients and the catch of the day from 06:30 to 23:00. Mui Mui: Beach Bar serves cocktails and light bites beside the beach from 11:00 to 20:00. Breakfast is a daily buffet from 06:30 to 10:30. A children's menu is available, with high chairs in the restaurants.
The resort stands directly on Bangrak Beach, and Samui International Airport is about five to ten minutes away. The hotel offers a chauffeur driven transfer service with English speaking drivers. The weather is warm all year, with November to February the most pleasant months and April to May the hottest. October to December is the rainy season, though rain usually lasts only about an hour in the evening.
