The Westin Kuala Lumpur is a five star hotel on Jalan Bukit Bintang, in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur city centre, with Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall just steps from the door. The hotel does not publish a board basis, so check the rate you book, and the street food of Jalan Alor is close enough to make eating out easy. The hotel's own wellbeing programme, built around White Tea bath products, Heavenly Beds and a Move Well fitness schedule, suits couples, families and anyone who wants a city stay that leaves them feeling rested.

The hotel does not publish its room count. Deluxe Rooms measure 42 square metres with floor to ceiling soundproofed windows, a sofa and a marble bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower. Club Rooms sit on the high floors and add access to The Westin Club on Level Three. Westin Suites reach 75 square metres with a dining table for four, and the One and Two Bedroom Residences, at 80 and 120 square metres, come with a pantry, microwave and dining area for longer stays.

Fitness leads the activity list. The runWESTIN group run leaves every Wednesday morning with a coach and heads to KLCC Park, and a Gear Lending Kit lets you exercise in your room. Club Rooms and above include The Westin Club, open from six in the morning until ten at night, with evening cocktails and snacks from half past five. Splash also hosts a Kids' Party Package, and the hotel publishes no evening entertainment programme.

The outdoor pool, Splash, is filled with saltwater rather than chlorine and opens from six in the morning until eleven at night, with a children's pool alongside. A Saturday morning Aqua Workout at half past eight gives you a low impact session in the water. The WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio runs 24 hours a day with cardio and strength machines, free weights, locker rooms and sauna rooms. The hotel does not publish a spa, so treatments are not part of the stay.

Three venues cover the day. The Living Room serves a buffet breakfast, then local and international dishes for lunch and dinner, with the Di Tanah Tinggi afternoon tea and the Garam and Api weekend dinner buffet. Splash, the poolside restaurant and bar, offers indoor and outdoor seating during the day. 443 Bar Lounge, tucked into the lower lobby, opens from four in the afternoon until midnight for fine wine, whiskey, cigars and artisan cocktails. Room service runs around the clock.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and its shops are steps away, and Bukit Bintang MRT station is close by for the rest of the city. The Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Park and Suria KLCC are within easy reach, as is The Exchange TRX with more than 350 stores and restaurants. Jalan Alor's hawker stalls come alive at night, Petaling Street brings Chinatown, and the 272 steps of Batu Caves make a half day trip. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is about 60 kilometres away.
