Solaz sits on Cabo Real, on the stretch of Baja California Sur coast between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, facing the Sea of Cortez. The resort holds 145 contemporary rooms and suites, finished with marble, premium bedding and custom furnishings. Everything is arranged so you can move easily between the shore, the pools and the table.
Rooms begin with the Oasis Room and the Ocean View Room, each with a balcony and floor to ceiling windows, then step up to Plunge Pool Rooms with a terrace and private plunge pool. Ocean View Suites run from one to three bedrooms, and Plunge Pool Suites offer one or two. Wellness by Ojo de Liebre adds an in room spa table, Villa Solaz has four bedrooms and a separate dining room, and the Beachfront Three Bedroom Residence adds a terrace and a whirlpool tub.
Families are well looked after. The CaboNautas Kids Club gives children a space of their own with activities, toys and cooking classes where they make pizza or cookies, while you rest in the cabanas. Teenagers aged thirteen to nineteen have a club with pool tables, foosball, video games and arcade basketball. Bicycles can be rented, and the Cabo San Lucas Country Club, Wild Canyon Adventure Park and the San José del Cabo Art Walk are close by.
Heated infinity pools look out over the sea, with one for families, one for adults only and two for children, and a whirlpool and cabanas sit alongside. A fitness centre stays open around the clock, and the Cabo Sport Complex adds a 5.3 hectare site for sport and culture. The Ojo de Liebre spa has twelve treatment rooms, sea water and fresh water pools, hot and ice cold tubs, aromatherapy, chromotherapy light showers and a cryotherapy chamber, with a salon for the finishing touches.
Six venues share the dining. Al Pairo, recently recommended by the Michelin Guide, reimagines pre-Hispanic cooking with native ingredients. Cascabel serves breakfast with a view of the Sea of Cortez, Mako focuses on fresh fish and shellfish, and Riccio di Mare pairs Italian technique with Baja ingredients. Baja Beach is an Airstream by the sand for Mexican Pacific dishes and cocktails, while Foresta Juice Bar in downtown San José del Cabo makes fresh juices and smoothies. Cocktails draw on the mixologists of Licoreria Limantour, listed among the fifty best bars in the world.
Solaz keeps a calendar of events with cultural moments, family celebrations and seasonal gatherings beside the Sea of Cortez. The Residences add private living space for longer or larger stays, and a kosher programme caters for traditional dining.
