Holidays to Cassia Cottage Phu Quoc
Cassia Cottage is a family-owned boutique beachfront resort and spa in Duong Dong Town, on Phu Quoc in An Giang Province, formerly Kien Giang. It has private access to Ba Keo Beach and sits 15 to 20 minutes from Phu Quoc International Airport. The resort was recognised in the Sustainable Hospitality Compass 2025 and describes itself as deliberately quaint, so expect a relaxed coastal pace. The hotel page publishes no star rating, room count or board basis, so confirm these when you book.
Seven room types range from Garden Cottages, tucked behind greenery with a private green terrace, to The Beach House, a two bedroom house with a separate living room and direct pool and beach access. Seaview rooms look across the Gulf of Thailand, while Modern Deluxe and Modern Premium rooms add natural local wood furnishings and balcony or terrace space. Air conditioning, a mini bar and Wi-Fi are listed in most rooms, and several offer an outdoor rain shower. The Garden Cottages are currently being upgraded.
A pool table, described as the only functional one on the beach, plus darts and board games give The Malabar a playful side. Reception can arrange diving and snorkelling, mainly from October to April, along with squid fishing sunset cruises, waterfall visits and trips to fishing villages. Cultural stops include the Coi Ngon Museum, Dinh Cau Temple and the Cao Dai Temple. The hotel page does not mention a kids club.
Two swimming pools are listed, with terraces and sun loungers close by. A beachfront spa pavilion overlooking Ba Keo Beach offers traditional massages, oil massages and hot stone treatments. Complimentary yoga runs six days a week at the Monsoon Pavilion with an internationally certified instructor, and meditation, pranayama breathwork and art therapy are also listed. Gym Number 4, 450 metres away, is free for you to use.
The Spice House is the resort's restaurant, open daily from 07:00 to 22:00, with breakfast from 07:00 to 10:00 and happy hour from 16:00 to 17:30. Expect Vietnamese family recipes with Mediterranean touches, homemade breads and a vegetarian menu, prepared without MSG, preservatives or artificial colouring. Private romantic beach dining needs 24 hours notice. The Malabar is a beachfront bar serving cocktails, beer and food prepared by Spice House chefs, and it closes in the rainy season.
Ba Keo Beach is on the doorstep, and remote beaches such as Ganh Dau and Bai Sao feature among the island excursions. Phu Quoc Night Market, pepper farms, pearl cultivation facilities and fish sauce distilleries are also named. Phu Quoc International Airport is 15 to 20 minutes away. The hotel page does not describe the climate beyond the rainy season closing The Malabar.
