JEN Singapore Orchardgateway sits at 277 Orchard Road, in the heart of Orchard. The mood is urban and unfussy rather than formal, which suits short city stays, business trips and family travel equally well. Eight room types are published, running from Superior Rooms up to Panorama Club Rooms, and the direct link to public transport means the further reaches of the city are easy to reach without a car.
Superior, Superior Cityview and Club Rooms each measure 27 square metres. Deluxe Family Rooms run to 47, Panorama Club Rooms to 55, and two interconnecting Superior Cityview Rooms to 54 between them. Frette sheets, a tea and coffee station, fast Wi-Fi, an electronic safe and an IPTV system come as standard, and Club, Club Deluxe and Panorama Club Rooms add all-day Club Lounge access with breakfast.
The Society programme runs curated events built around the conversations and culture shaping Asia today, alongside shared work and meeting spaces for anyone mixing a trip with work. Wellness classes and coaching sit with the gym under the Active banner. A children’s meal plan applies at the all-day dining venues for under twelves, which makes planning family mealtimes considerably simpler than it might otherwise be.
The rooftop infinity pool runs to 47 metres and comes with hydro jets, viewing platforms and panoramic views across the city. It opens from 07:00 to 22:00, and the hotel describes it as award winning. The fitness centre is open 24 hours, so a session fits around whatever else the day holds, and curated wellness classes are offered alongside it for anyone who prefers something guided.
Makan@Jen is the all-day restaurant, serving a la carte and buffet across local, Asian and international dishes, with indoor and outdoor seating that looks out over the activity on Orchard Road below. Trippi takes the rooftop, pairing Tiki drinks with loungers and a viewing platform for the sunset. OnTheGo handles coffee to take away, and room service runs around the clock, brought to the door by Jeno and Jeni.
Orchard Road runs directly outside, lined with shopping, cafes and restaurants along its length. Singapore’s walkable design means much of the centre can be covered on foot, and the direct connection to public transport opens up the rest of the island by train. The viewing platforms on the roof are a useful way to get your bearings on the skyline and the surrounding streets before you set out for the day.
