Holidays to JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach

JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach stands on Beach Road in the Civic District, a few minutes from Marina Bay and the Central Business District, with the National Gallery and National Stadium close by. The building pairs conserved heritage with contemporary design, and 634 rooms and suites sit above a ground floor given over to restaurants, bars and event space. It suits a city stay where work and sightseeing share the same day.

The 634 rooms run from a 30 square metre Studio to suites of 74 square metres and more. Floor-to-ceiling windows and marble bathrooms are standard, along with a Nespresso machine, minibar and evening turndown. Higher categories add a separate living room, double vanities and Marina Bay views, and several grades carry Executive Lounge access, which opens from half past six in the morning until half past eleven at night.

The programme here is urban rather than resort led. Swimming, the fitness centre and the spa fill the daytime, while the JW Garden, the Hushed Habitat and the Sky Escape give quieter corners to stop in. Evenings lean on the NCO Club, where live music runs from Wednesday to Saturday. The Grand Ballroom, 8,000 square feet under ten metre ceilings, stages events beneath its Forest of Lights.

Two swimming outlets carry the leisure side, FLOW18 and EBB6, set several floors up with sun loungers and towels laid on. Spa by JW builds its treatments around four benefits, Calm, Indulge, Invigorate and Renew, using Aromatherapy Associates products in single and couples rooms. Reception opens onto a relaxation lounge, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, and the fitness centre stays open to residents throughout the stay.

Akira Back brings modern Japanese cooking with Korean accents, Beach Road Kitchen runs an international buffet with chefs working live stations, and Madame Fan serves modern Cantonese inside Art Deco rooms. The NCO Club, a conserved 1950s building, holds Cool Cats for live music, Stags' Room for vintage wines and two further venues kept for private events. Tonic pours gin-based cocktails from morning until midnight.

Arab Street and Kampong Glam sit within a short walk, and Chinatown and Little India are a brief taxi ride. Marina Bay puts the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay and the Esplanade within easy reach, while the Singapore Flyer turns 165 metres above the water nearby. Changi Airport is around ten miles away, and parking runs beneath the hotel on level B3.
