A five star resort at 2 Bukit Manis Road, Sofitel Singapore Sentosa occupies 27 acres on the quiet southern edge of Sentosa Island, ten to fifteen minutes from the city centre. The whole resort is non-smoking and wheelchair accessible, pets are welcome, and island admission comes with the stay.
Rooms run from 36 square metres up to 300 in the villas, laid out as Luxury, Signature, Junior Suite, Prestige Suite and Imperial Suite categories, with four villas carrying private pools. Garden and sea outlooks are both available and the Sofitel MY BED is standard across the resort. Family categories take a king bed and two singles, connecting rooms can be arranged, and a play tent can be added for children.
Swimming and the spa aside, the gardens run to 27 acres of planting with produce grown for the kitchens. Bicycles are available for the island roads and Sentosa Golf Club is directly opposite. Children have activities laid on, kids menus at the restaurants and board games to borrow. A complimentary shuttle runs from HarbourFront MRT Station, and taxis, car hire and airport transfers are arranged at the desk.
A 33 metre swimming pool runs through the gardens with sun loungers, umbrellas and a terrace alongside. Raffles Sentosa Spa handles treatments, and a fitness centre covers the exercise. Tanjong Beach is a 200 metre walk from the grounds. Six meeting rooms, the largest at 323 square metres, sit beside a Celebrations and Events Centre. Bicycles can be hired, and 180 outdoor parking spaces are included with the stay.
Four places to eat and drink sit within the grounds. Kwee Zeen runs all day on Pan-Asian, Western and Indian cooking, with breakfast laid out from seven in the morning. The Cliff works Southern Italian plates above the South China Sea and holds a sunset aperitivo. LeBar is an outdoor pavilion lounge for high teas and cocktails, and Maduro pours whisky and Cuban selections to live jazz.
Tanjong Beach sits 200 metres downhill and the rest of Sentosa Island is a short ride away, with Sensoryscape, the Singapore Oceanarium and KidZania all nearby. The city centre is ten to fifteen minutes by road. Singapore stays warm and humid through the year, which keeps the pool and the gardens in use. Weddings and banquets run through six meeting rooms and a dedicated events centre.
