A restored heritage property at 2 Gunner Lane, The Barracks Hotel Sentosa holds 40 rooms and suites inside barracks buildings conserved from 1904, run by Far East Hospitality. Check in is from three in the afternoon and check out is at midday. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, parking is included, and Sentosa admission is complimentary for up to four people on each booking. Imbiah Station is a three minute walk.

Forty rooms and suites are laid out across the conserved barracks buildings, from Premier categories on the upper floor to suites with a semi-private jacuzzi, a private corner patio or direct pool access from the terrace. The Duplex Family Suite links two levels for larger parties. Plantation shutters, high ceilings, tile and marble floors and soundproofing run through them, and cots are available in the suites on request.

Swimming and the spa aside, a heritage audio tour walks you through the conserved barracks and the artillery history, with anecdotes recorded by veterans. Fitness classes and wellness workshops run at Oasia Resort Sentosa on a first come basis. Sister hotels across the enclave open their facilities to you, and the buggy reaches the beaches, the aquarium and the luge within minutes.
