The Clan Hotel stands on Cross Street, the road that carried Chinese settlers into Singapore in the 1800s and filled itself with shophouses and sampans. Clan associations formed there, binding new arrivals into communities of shared halls and shared ambition, and the hotel takes both its name and its manner from them. Behind a chrome facade you find Nanyang textures used in unexpectedly modern ways. Telok Ayer station is two minutes away, the Central Business District five, Maxwell Food Centre seven.

Four categories run from the 24 square metre Deluxe Room to the 36 square metre Grand Premier Room, each taking two adults and a child. Grand Deluxe and Premier rooms carry king beds, while the Master Series adds a Marshall sound system and the attention of a Clan Keeper. Every room brings a Samsung 55-inch smart television, a Nespresso machine and a welcome amenity of signature tea blends with locally inspired cookies.

Cultural programming is booked through the hotel rather than hunted down outside it. A welcome tea ceremony opens the stay, and a local precinct tour walks the heritage sites around Cross Street with a Clansman. Workshops reach further: tea blending with Asian ingredients and herbs alongside Fang Studio, brewery culture and tasting with 1925 Brewing Co, basic Chinese calligraphy, perfumery and scent making, and a well-wishing charm stitched with calligraphy blessings.

Two floors carry most of what you will use. Level thirty holds the Sky Pool, open from 6:00 until midnight, and the Sky Gym, open around the clock with punching bag columns and on-demand virtual classes from leading instructors. Lounge and shower suites sit on the same floor for early arrivals and late departures. Terrace@Level4 opens at 7:00 as a planted outdoor break from the city. Onsite parking at Far East Square Carpark is free for residents.

QÍN Restaurant and Bar by Tung Lok occupies levels four and five, a MICHELIN Guide Selected kitchen where Western technique meets Asian flavour behind floor-to-ceiling windows. Lunch runs 12:00 to 14:30 and dinner 18:00 to 21:30. One floor up, QÍN Bar keeps signature cocktails and more than sixty wines inside Chinese medical hall cabinets until 22:00.

The 82 square metre Mahjong Room takes its cue from the activity halls of the old clan associations and seats up to fifty for social conferences, dinners, corporate launches and team-building programmes. Wedding ceremonies look out across the Telok Ayer precinct, and proposals are drawn up by the hotel sales team.
