A five star resort at 21 Ocean Way on Sentosa Island, W Singapore - Sentosa Cove holds 240 rooms and suites across a marina setting, recently reimagined with microcosm-inspired decor, wooden floors and carpets drawn from the water outside. Check in is from three in the afternoon and check out is at midday. The whole property is non-smoking and pets are not accommodated. Parking is included for residents, with four electric vehicle charging points on site.
All 240 rooms and suites carry a 65 inch smart TV, a Nespresso machine, filtered water taps and a W signature bed with a pillow menu, and the bathroom holds a rainforest shower and a separate bathtub. Premier categories look over the marina and Premier Deluxe over the pool, both with balconies. Away categories sit at garden level with a terrace and plunge pool, and the suites add a separate living room.
Swimming and the spa aside, sunrise yoga runs at the resort and The Ripple Club works strength and mobility in the water. The concierge arranges scuba diving, sailing and island hopping, and a catamaran charters from Sentosa Cove Marina. Eight naturally lit rooms on the second floor cover more than 19,000 square feet of event space, and guided cycling reaches the rest of the island.
The WET Deck pool covers 1,338 square metres facing the South China Sea, with a water slide, private cabanas, daybeds and a swim-up bar. AWAY Spa is built around a rainforest theme, with a magnesium whirlpool, vitality pool and ice bath, an infrared sauna, steam room, cold plunge and experiential showers, plus a Refuel recovery room. FIT opens around the clock on Technogym equipment, and AiRe Wellness adds hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy.
Four places to eat and drink sit within the resort. SKIRT is the open fire steakhouse, working Wagyu and dry aged cuts over a Josper Basque grill and binchotan charcoal. the kitchen table runs all day on local flavours and modern comfort cooking. WOOBAR pours cocktails under botanical planting with live music and afternoon tea, and WET Deck serves beside the water through the day.
Sentosa Golf Club and its two championship courses sit close by, with Adventure Cove Waterpark four kilometres away, AJ Hackett Sentosa at 4.3 kilometres and Universal Studios Singapore at 6.3. Changi Airport is 28 kilometres off and HarbourFront MRT is the nearest station on the mainland. Singapore stays warm and humid through the year, which keeps the pool deck busy from morning onwards.
