Holidays to Hotel Christopher St Barth

Hotel Christopher St Barth is a five star retreat on Pointe Milou, at the end of a long road that descends towards the sea. Protected by the trade winds, it looks out over the ocean and neighbouring islands. There are 42 rooms and suites, four villas and no beach, which keeps the atmosphere quiet. Green Globe certified every year from 2021 to 2024, it is a peaceful base far from the crowds.

The eight room types all face the sea. Ocean Terrace rooms are lofts with a private terrace and direct access to the pool, Ocean Deluxe Balcony rooms stretch onto spacious terraces over the sea, and Ocean Deluxe Terrace rooms overlook the bay of Lorient. Junior suites and suites add living areas, and the Ocean Spa Suite has its own private spa. Every room has free Wi-Fi, a welcome minibar, air conditioning and 24 hour room service. For groups, four villas sleep eight to ten.

Sunset is the hotel's signature moment, with a drink in hand, plates to share and DJ sessions and live music four nights a week. Once a year the Christopher Cinema Club screens films under the stars, and Solis hosts a calendar of seasonal events. Alongside the Sisley Spa and fitness room, villa stays come with a dedicated butler and a private transfer on arrival, and a concierge team is always on hand.

The oceanfront infinity pool is the centrepiece, and the villas each have a private pool for more seclusion. The Sisley Spa sits at the water's edge, open to the ocean, and has been voted best spa in the Caribbean at the World Spa Awards since 2020. It offers massages, facials and signature rituals, with a double cabin for couples. The air conditioned fitness room has treadmills, an elliptical trainer and an RPM bike, open from 6am to 10pm.

Solis is the hotel's restaurant, facing the ocean and open from morning until late evening. Chef Paul Bertheau serves contemporary French cuisine with Caribbean influences, built around seasonal produce, seared fish, crudos and lobster, with dishes designed for sharing. Lunch runs from 12 to 3 and dinner from 5 to 10. The Christo Bar mixes creative cocktails, including the Coco Loco, which supports coral preservation.

Pointe Milou has a peaceful, secluded feel, yet the island's best known places are close. You can browse the boutiques of Gustavia, shop in St Jean and explore the island's iconic beaches, then return to the quiet of the hotel. Gustavia airport accepts small planes between 6am and 6pm, and ferries from St Martin take under 60 minutes, with Juliana airport the nearest international gateway.
