Chatham Bay Tenuta is a 4-star boutique eco-luxury beachfront resort in Chatham Bay, on the western coast of Union Island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Set across six acres beside a protected, unspoilt bay, it has a secluded setting with minimal development and a focus on sustainability, including solar power. The atmosphere is private and understated, making it well suited to couples, honeymooners, yacht travellers, small private groups and travellers interested in eco-tourism or an off-grid Caribbean stay. Wi-Fi and concierge-style services are available, while the waterfront position gives you direct access to the bay.
Accommodation consists of four standalone beachfront Cottages and three Studio Suites, all with direct sea views and outdoor terraces. The Cottages are approximately 30 square metres and have an open-plan room with a seating area and walk-in wardrobe. The Studio Suites are approximately 65 square metres and include a master bedroom and sitting room with a double sofa bed, connected by an open archway. Across the accommodation, you can expect air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, coffee facilities, a safe and a private seating area.
Activities centre on the bay and the surrounding Grenadines. You can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, kayak, use sea bobs or play beach volleyball, with some activities carrying an additional charge. Island-hopping excursions, hiking and eco-tours add options on land and around neighbouring islands, while sailing and yacht services make further use of the coastal setting. The overall activity programme is geared towards time outdoors, exploring the water and discovering the wider island environment.
The resort has an infinity pool with sea views, together with a garden and sun deck for relaxing outdoors. Its private white-sand beach is complemented by a beach club with chaise loungers and tiki umbrellas, giving you another place to spend time close to the water. Wellness and relaxation experiences are also offered. With swimming available in the bay, the setting makes it easy to alternate between the pool, beach and sea during the day.
Calabash restaurant serves Caribbean-inspired cuisine with international influences, featuring fresh seafood and local ingredients. The resort also has a beachfront bar and restaurant, while the bar serves cocktails and premium beverages. A wine cellar offers an international selection, and sunset aperitivo is another feature of the food-and-drink experience. You can dine and drink close to the shoreline while making the most of the resort’s sea-facing setting.
The resort is reached by an approximately 15-minute boat transfer from Clifton Harbour. Internal flights to Union Island are available from Barbados, St Vincent and Grenada.
