Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, South Caicos, is an oceanfront resort surrounded by white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and the natural landscape of South Caicos. The resort has 100 accommodations and combines contemporary coastal design with a calm, spacious setting. It suits couples, families and wellness-focused travellers, with four pools, several dining venues, a destination spa and a range of guided island experiences. An optional Salterra Epicurean Experience includes dining and beverages across resort venues without following a traditional all-inclusive format.
The resort features 100 rooms and suites, including 52 one- and two-bedroom suites. All accommodations offer ocean-facing views and generous balconies, while ground-floor rooms include private lanais opening onto the beachside landscape. One- and two-bedroom suites feature spacious living rooms, dining areas, soaking tubs, rain showers, and generous outdoor space. Two Penthouse Suites offer 2,800 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, wraparound balconies, a full kitchen, and dedicated butler service.
Days can be active or relaxed. Two dedicated pickleball courts come equipped with paddles, while the fitness centre supports cardio, strength and recovery sessions. Adventures by Salterra offers guided outings such as snorkelling among eagle rays in the Caicos Bank, paddling to uninhabited cays and exploring hidden coves. The Salterra Kids Club runs daily activities designed to encourage children to care for the environment and ocean. No regular evening entertainment programme is confirmed in the supplied material.
Four swimming pools are spread across the resort, including a central lagoon-style pool, a dedicated children’s pool and a quieter adults-only pool at The Spa at Salterra. The spa has eight treatment rooms, including two for couples, plus an outdoor lounge and pool, and an aqua thermal area with a sauna, steam room, and hammam. You can also use the 24-hour fitness centre with Technogym cardio and strength equipment, free weights, and functional training tools, or join complimentary yoga classes.
Dining includes five restaurants and one bar, offering a broad selection throughout the day. Flamingo Café serves breakfast, lunch and refreshments, while Regatta focuses on Caribbean cuisine. Cobo Bar & Grill offers Latin-inspired food by the beach, and Brine serves a five-course tasting menu with curated salt pairings and wines overlooking the Salinas. Jack & Jenny’s food truck has a rotating menu, while Sisal Bar serves small plates and drinks. Room service is also available.
South Caicos is central to the resort experience, with the island’s beaches, clear water and historic Salinas forming the main setting beyond the property. The Salinas were once at the heart of the local salt industry and now attract migratory birds, including flamingos, herons and egrets. In the dry season, evaporating pools can reveal crystallised salt, offering a direct connection to the island’s long-standing salt-making heritage.
